My Story
For many years, Race For the Cure made its way through the streets of downtown Little Rock. And during those events, I walked each year- just because. Because it passed by the office where my family held a pancake breakfast, because it made me feel good to join a worthy cause, because I love October and its weather, because I love to walk!!!! Then the walk left Little Rock and I kind of forgot about it. Until now.
When I was diagnosed with that tiny bit of breast cancer in March 2025, I just couldn't imagine how and why this was happening, but I also knew I would be ok! And I AM!!! Thanks to the amazing advanced research on Breast Cancer, I was quickly treated with surgery and radiation, and I am now a SURVIVOR!
So this year, I am walking for ME and joining my family and friends in celebration!
