My Story
When I heard there was going to be a charity walk for breast cancer next month, and that my workplace is building a team to participate, I felt it would be the perfect time for me to volunteer as well.
I lost my mom last year to breast cancer, and I start chemo for my own Stage 2 in October. In fact, the timing of the event makes it a perfect chance to "debut" my sleek hairless look.
But beyond that, I also appreciate that the reason I am able to start treatment next month with confidence that I will soon be cancer-free is because of the years of fundraising and awareness efforts made by organizations like these. Cancer sucks, but at least I am fortunate enough to have access to screening and treatment for the best possible outcome in 2025.
Thanks everyone for your support!
