Grow through what you go through
At the beginning of this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and it stopped our little family in its tracks. There were so many unknowns and appointments in the following months, we really had to take it all just one day at a time. Steve has been an amazing rock for the family! We are so grateful to have been blessed with such an amazing medical team who made us feel comfortable during this whole unknown process or "project" as I liked to think about it.
This year, I have registered our family for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I want to show my boys (8 & 10) how many other people are impacted by cancer right here locally in the Bay Area. Lucky for them the walk happens to be at the San Francisco Zoo!
I have many memories of participating in Susan G. Komen walks in Newport Beach in my grandmother's memory, and now I join the club of being a pink sister as well.
This walk is an opportunity to raise money for breast cancer research for our mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, friends and future generations to come! I would be honored if you would donate to our Team Elkin and even better if you would like to come walk with us!
