5 Years NED.

My breast cancer journey began in May of 2020, just after celebrating Mother’s Day. My sister had been diagnosed a year before me — we were both diagnosed at the same age, with the same receptors.

Four surgeries, sixteen rounds of chemo, and twenty-five rounds of radiation later, I am so grateful to say I’ve made it to five years NED this year.

I walk for my sister, a survivor, and my best friend, who sadly didn’t make it. Their strength and their stories are with me every step.

More and more women are being diagnosed at younger and younger ages, and it’s become deeply important to me to raise awareness that mammograms are happening too late. I advocate for women however and whenever I can, because early detection can save lives.

We’re not in this alone. We are warriors, standing together, fighting the biggest fight.
