In Honor of Our Mother ? Join Carla?s Footsteps
As many of you know, we recently lost our incredible mother to Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. She was diagnosed on April 7th, hospitalized on April 14th, and heartbreakingly, we said goodbye on April 22nd. It all happened so fast ? and it changed our lives forever.
To honor her memory, my siblings and I have created a team for the Susan G. Komen Walk in Nashville on October 4th. We?ve named it Carla?s Footsteps, and we?re walking to raise awareness, support research, and remember the strong, loving woman who meant the world to us.
Breast cancer doesn?t just affect women ? men can be diagnosed too. Please, make your health a priority and get regular checkups.
Today is my birthday, and instead of gifts, I?m asking for something more meaningful: a donation to our team. Our initial goal is $250, but honestly, exceeding that would mean so much. Every dollar helps and brings us one step closer to a cure.
