My Story
One year ago, when I was in the best shape of my life, I was told the words I never thought I?d hear: ?You have breast cancer.?
Now, one year later from starting treatment, I?m grateful to say I will walk in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk in Nashville on October 4th?cancer free.
This walk is more than a fundraiser. It?s for the survivors. It?s for the fighters. And it?s for those who lost their fight far too soon.
This journey is something I wouldn?t wish on anyone. It takes more than strength?it takes something you can only truly understand if you?ve lived it. And when treatment ends, life is forever changed. You don?t go back to the old normal?you learn to live the new norm.
I walk with gratitude, resilience, and hope?for myself and for everyone in this fight.
