My Story
It was November of 2023, a routine mammogram changed my life. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. I spent the year of 2024 going through a Lumpectomy with lymphnode removal, radiation, emotional and physical changes. I decided to participate in the More than Pink Walk, October of 2024. With the support of my family, coworkers, friends. our team made the top Ten in fundraising. To my amazement, I also made the top ten in personal fundraising. I could not have gone through this trying time without the support of everyone around me. It made me Jedi Strong!
This year, I'm dealing with the aftermath of BC, and taking Cancer Drugs that affect my physical and emotional well-being. It's not over for me. But I'm persistent and will not allow BC to beat me down. Every day is a new day for me and I'm grateful for the continued support. I want our team to beat our best from 2024.
