Mamo Strong
I am sharing a personal and meaningful experience that deeply connects me to the Susan G. Komen community this year.
In January 2025, my mother was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. This news profoundly impacted our family, and since then, we have been unwavering in our support for her. Together, we have stood by her side through the many challenges that come with this diagnosis—from numerous doctor’s appointments to the grueling course of chemotherapy treatments.
This year, motivated by my mom’s incredible strength and resilience, I have proudly joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. Participating in this event is my way of honoring her journey and contributing to the larger fight against breast cancer. The walk offers a powerful opportunity to not only support my mother but also to raise awareness and funds that will help others facing similar battles.
Throughout this long and difficult journey, my mother has shown remarkable courage and determination. Our entire family considers ourselves fortunate to have one another, rallying around her with love and care at every step. Being part of this community and the walk gives us renewed hope and a collective strength that propels us forward.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my involvement with the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am committed to making a difference in any way I can, and I truly appreciate the support and resources that the Komen community provides to those affected by breast cancer.
Warm regards,
Mamo’s Crew
