Meet Jody and Hollie Lancarte!

            Hello! My name is Jody Lancarte, and I am the wife of Lanny Lancarte (owner of Joe T. Garcia’s). I was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 28, 2019. Right before COVID was underway. This was a scary time in healthcare and to have to do a lot of my doctor’s visits alone due to all the restrictions that were placed in hospitals. I had surgery in January 2020 and began treatment shortly after with chemo and radiation. I couldn’t have done any of this without the support of my husband of over 50 years, 3 kids and my 6 grandkids. Please help us and our team support such a wonderful cause.  

            Hello! My name is Hollie Lancarte, and I am the wife of Joe Lancarte (owner of Joe T. Garcia’s). I am excited to join my sister-in-law, Jody, this year for Race for the Cure and to help raise money for such a great cause. I was diagnosed back in 2003 after participating in a breast cancer study that was working on developing different technologies. My mother, Virgina is a two-time survivor and because of her I was eligible for this study. Thank goodness because this was how I found out I had breast cancer. After surgery in 2003 and radiation I began drug therapy for 5 years. This has been a long road, but I am thankful for my friends and family who have helped me along the way.
