Miles & Smiles: Why We Walk ‍♀

Welcome to Miles & Smiles — a team rooted in strength, joy, and the unwavering belief that our steps can change the future. We’re proud to be part of the Susan G. Komen® Breast Cancer Walk this October, standing together for those we’ve lost, those still fighting, and every survivor whose journey inspires us to move forward.

Our team is led by Sarah, a shining example of hope and endurance. Diagnosed with Wilms Tumor at just three years old — a childhood cancer that affected her kidney — she had her right kidney removed and has lived as a proud survivor for over 45 years. With one powerful kidney doing the work of two, she walks with purpose… and with smiles that go the extra mile.

Breast cancer has touched many lives within our circle. Each member of Miles & Smiles walks for someone they love, for someone they’ve lost, or for the hope of a future without breast cancer. We are united by empathy, powered by purpose, and driven by love.

The money we raise fuels groundbreaking research, connects patients with life-saving support, and spreads knowledge and strength where it’s needed most. This mission needs all of us — and together, we are proud to be part of the momentum that will end breast cancer once and for all.
