Why I'm Raising Awareness
I went through my own journey with breast cancer last year. After undergoing chemo and a bilateral mastectomy, I'm incredibly grateful to be finishing my final immunotherapy treatment this month...something that fills me with both relief and hope. I haven't been one to promote fundraisers before, but sadly, my family also experienced a deep loss this past April when we said goodbye to my cousin, who passed away from metastatic breast cancer. Her strength, along with that of so many incredible women I?ve known who have been touched by this disease, has inspired me to speak up and get involved.
When I saw a local fundraiser walk happening in the town I live, I knew it was the perfect way to honor my cousin, celebrate survivorship, and raise awareness about the importance of screenings, treatment, and ongoing support.
If you're looking for a meaningful way to spend a fall afternoon, I'd love for you to join me and the Harvest of Hope team.
This team is having a separate More Than Pink event on Saturday 10/18 12:00pm-2:00pm at Rough Cut Cider House at Lemek's Farm 351 Goose Ln, Tolland, CT.
Whether you walk with me on 10/18 in Tolland, donate, or simply help spread the word, your support truly matters.
Together, we can make a difference for those affected by breast cancer.
With gratitude,
Jennifer
