I'm walking in the Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure as both a survivor and a daughter. My mother is a survivor as well, and her resilience in facing breast cancer long before me has been a constant source of inspiration. Her strength taught me what it means to be a fighter.

This year, while she won't be walking with us, my husband, three children and their significant others will be by my side. This walk is our way of honoring my mother's journey and celebrating our family's commitment to a future without this disease. Together, we walk to ensure that her legacy of survival and hope continues to inspire others. Every step we take is for her, for me, and for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer.
