I'm Walking Because I've Lived It and I Know We Can Do Better!!
My name is Rob, and I’m a male breast cancer survivor. Yeah—a man with breast cancer. Most people don’t expect to hear that, and honestly, neither did I. But this disease doesn’t care who you are. It doesn’t discriminate. I’ve faced it in more ways than one—first with my mom, who we lost far too soon. Then my two sisters. And finally, it came for me.
I’m walking in the Seattle More Than Pink Walk because I can, unlike so many others devasted with this disease. I know the devastation breast cancer brings. I’ve seen it break hearts, shattered families, and steal time we never get back. And I’ve also seen the power of community, the importance of research, and the strength that comes from people showing up—together.
Did you know that men are often diagnosed later simply because we’re not part of the conversation? We’re 49% more likely to be diagnosed at a later stage. Not because we’re tougher or stronger—but because we’re less aware. That’s not acceptable to me. Not anymore.
That’s why I’m asking you to join me. I’m raising funds for Susan G. Komen to support critical research, expand early detection, and provide support for families in the fight right now. Every donation—whether it’s $5 or $500,000—makes a real impact. It means more screenings. More treatment. More survivors.
This isn’t just my walk. It’s for everyone affected by this disease—mothers, daughters, brothers, sons, friends, neighbors. People you know and love. Maybe people you’ve already lost.
So if you can, please donate. Walk with me in spirit. Share this story. Help me turn pain into purpose and purpose into progress.
Thanks for standing with me. It means more than I can say.
Stay in the Fight!!
