Welcome to Team Eliza – 2025 Edition!

Can you believe it? This is our 6th year walking together as Team Eliza, and our 3rd year at the Woodland Park Zoo!

We walk in honor of Eliza Reid Erickson, our beautiful daughter-in-law, who was diagnosed in August 2019—just days after her 26th birthday—with an aggressive form of breast cancer. With no warning signs, no family history, and in the prime of her life, her diagnosis shook us all. But Eliza met it head-on, fighting with incredible courage and grace for 14 months. She did everything she could to stay with her parents, her husband, Tony, her baby girl, and all of us who loved her. In October 2020, she left us far too soon—but her spirit remains, as strong as ever.

We see her in every sunny day, every hummingbird, in every act of kindness—and most of all, in Logan, who is now almost 8 years old and growing into a strong, joyful, and compassionate little girl. Mama would be...is...so proud.

Over the past 5 years, Team Eliza has raised thousands of dollars for breast cancer research and support. Each step we take helps keep Eliza’s memory alive and brings us closer to a future where no other family has to walk this path.

Let’s do it again this year—with love, laughter, and purpose, in memory of our girl and in honor of all those still in the fight
