This year, I turn 50—with a lot of mixed emotions. My mom, Cristina, passed away from breast cancer before she reached this milestone herself.

To honor her memory, I’ve joined the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk just two days before my 50th birthday. Our team is called Steps for Cristina, and we’ll be walking in her name and for everyone affected by this disease.
