Fighting So No One Has To Face This Battle Alone
Five years ago, I received the call that changed everything: breast cancer.
What made it even harder? It was during the pandemic. But my incredible support team showed up anyway. They stood in the rain before my first surgery just to let me know I wasn't alone. Then the plan changed. The cancer had spread. More surgery. Chemo. Radiation. Complications. One sister moved from Colorado to help me. My parents opened their home so I could finish chemo safely.
My village never wavered.
Today, I'm a 5-year survivor thinking about my 8-year-old daughter, my sisters, sisters-in-law, my mom, my mother-in-law, friends - all the women I love. I don't want any of them to face what I faced.
That's why I've joined the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. When I was first diagnosed, I met Nikki through Komen while desperately searching for resources. Komen was there when I needed them most - and they're there for thousands of women right now.
Your donation doesn't just fund research - it funds hope. It funds the helpline that answers terrifying calls. It funds financial assistance and navigation services that break down barriers to care.
My goal is $500 - but really, my goal is a future where no one has to worry about losing their sister, mom or friend to breast cancer.
Every dollar says to someone fighting this battle: "You are not alone. We're fighting with you."
Will you join me? Together, we can show every breast cancer patient there's a whole community by their side.
