I've been a part of the Komen community for 15 years. My very first year volunteering, I met the incredible Nikki Panico, who quickly became a dear friend and someone I look up to very much.

Nikki is facing her toughest battle yet. Her breast cancer has returned and evolved into Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer -- a diagnosis for which there is no cure. And yet, Nikki continues to fight with grace, strength, and determination. She is my inspiration, and she?s the reason I'm walking and fundraising again this year.

Breast cancer touches so many of us -- 1 in 8 women will be impacted in their lifetime. It has touched my family too -- most recently my warrior cousin, Morgen -- and so many others I know who have faced this disease head-on.

The MORE THAN PINK Walk is almost here. There's still time to contribute or even register to join my family on walk day. Every dollar raised brings us closer to better treatments, support, and hope for those like Nikki.
