My Story
I was diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer on June 3rd, 2013 and had surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation and I AM A SURVIVOR! This is the 12th year that I have registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am dedicated to Komen's mission of ending breast cancer forever, and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Since I started fundraising for Susan G. Komen twelve years ago, I took on the nickname of "Warrior Chief" as I felt that I was a Warrior as I went through breast cancer treatment. I was in the battle of my life and I needed to fight as hard as possible. Now that my breast cancer is in remission, I fight in different ways - - raising donations through the MORE THAN PINK WALK, supporting friends that are going through treatment, and fighting to stay healthy myself. I have family and friends who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and they are all Warriors as well (all are part of my "tribe")! Some have lost their valiant battle and that's why I continue to fight.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today? Thank you!
