We all wear pink - in memory of my mom, to celebrate me as a survivor, and to honor our friends & family who have been impacted by breast cancer.
After a 25 year battle with breast cancer, my mom, Mary Ann O'Connor, passed away in March 2018. In July 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I feel fortunate that my cancer was caught early, so I joined the Komen organization to give back to a cause that is close to my heart.
Our team name encompasses my career in technology and a cause that I stand behind: Second Base Hackers. In partnership with Susan G Komen, we are "Troubleshooting More than Tech - Defending Second Base."
The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education & information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us. United together, we can support those who need help today, while fearlessly searching for tomorrow's cures.
Please join us in this fight by making your donation today.
