My Fight, Our Fight: Fundraising for Susan G. Komen
Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Diagnosed July 2024. Still Standing. Still Fighting.
In July 2024, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer ? ER-positive, HER2-negative ? and it had already spread to my liver. No warning, no early signs. Life changed overnight.
Since then, I?ve faced liver radiation (January 2025), a double mastectomy (April 2025), and breast radiation through the summer. Every treatment, every scan, every sleepless night has been a reminder: this disease doesn?t stop ? but neither do I.
I live with metastatic breast cancer every single day. There is no cure, but there is hope ? and research is a huge part of that hope.
That?s why I?m raising funds for Susan G. Komen ? a foundation that doesn?t just raise awareness, but actively funds life-saving research, treatment access, and patient support. Komen is one of the leading organizations fighting for people like me ? and for those we?ve lost far too soon.
This isn?t just about me.
It?s for every woman, man, daughter, mother, friend who hears the words, ?You have breast cancer.?
I?m asking for your support ? whether it?s $5 or $500 ? because every dollar gets us closer to breakthroughs, better treatments, and one day? a cure.
Your donation helps fund:
? Research for Stage 4/metastatic breast cancer
? Support services for patients and families
? Screening and care for underserved communities
? Real hope, for real people, right now
Please donate. Share. Show up.
I?m still fighting ? and I believe in a future where no one has to face this alone.
With love and gratitude,
Ashley aka Tree Girl
