This team grew up on Naropa University's campus under one of the oldest Sycamore trees in Colorado. As former Naropa colleagues whose lives have been touched by breast cancer, we have come together to help Susan G. KomenŽ in their mission to end breast cancer.
Susan G Komen's visionary mission is to end breast cancer. They also provide support for people who are raw and broken open upon hearing the life-transforming words, "You have breast cancer." The mission to end breast cancer (symbolized by the branches of the Sycamore tree reaching for the sky) is important and so is the support for those who need help right now.
The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education & information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
We welcome friends, family, strangers and migrating birds to join us in Denver for the walk and/or to make a donation.
