This October, I?ll be walking in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk in Denver. This cause is deeply personal to me.

I walk for my childhood best friend who lost her life to breast cancer.

I walk for my sister, recently diagnosed.

I walk for my best friend and my aunt, both finishing their treatments.

I walk for the friends who have fought bravely, and for those we?ve lost too soon.

I walk for my me, because I never want to go through it again!

Too many of the women I love have faced this disease. Breast cancer isn?t just statistics?it?s names, faces, and stories I carry with me every single day.
