My Story
In August 2024 I was diagnosed with ER , PR ,HER2- Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) and Ductal Carcinoma in situ DCIS) breast cancers. I elected an aggressive surgical approach, in conjunction with long-term estrogen suppressing medication to give me the best chance of staying cancer-free. It?s been a challenging year, including four surgeries and lots of medical appointments for physical therapy and meetings to determine the best medications and supplements to reduce my chances of reoccurrence and manage challenging side effects. October 14, 2025 is my first cancer-free anniversary and can?t think of a better way to celebrate than with survivors and supporters at the Denver Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk.
