As many of you know, I was diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer in March 2024. It was detected on my annual mammogram, even though I had no symptoms at the time.

Over the past year, I’ve undergone a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy, radiation, and Herceptin/Perjeta injections. I’m so grateful to share that my CT scan on May 15, 2025, was clear!

This journey has not been easy, but I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have the unwavering support of my family and friends. To my husband and boys—thank you for caring for me daily and lifting my spirits when I needed it most. To my friends and family—thank you for checking in, showing up, and walking alongside me through treatment. I know how lucky I am, and I am thankful every single day.

I am also deeply grateful to my medical team and to the researchers who make today’s treatments possible. Because of advances in breast cancer research, there are therapies available now that didn’t exist 20 years ago—treatments that gave me hope and healing. Continued funding for breast cancer research is critical to finding cures, improving treatments, and better understanding who truly needs them

My family and I decided to participate in the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk again this year to support research and their mission to end breast cancer forever. Thanks to your generous donations last year, we were a top fundraising team!

The money our team raises will fund research to discover more effective treatments, as well as vital patient support to help connect people with things like breast cancer education & information, emotional support, patient navigation, financial assistance and so much more.
