The time is passing by, but the ache it never seems to go away. This is a year you would have loved. A year filled with celebration of accomplishments and milestones, of love and joy, and hard work finally coming to fruition. We wish you could be here to celebrate because that picture above, that face filled with pride is one that you would be giving all of us. But we just have to imagine you giving it to us now from heaven. And the ache becomes heavy again. 

While the More Than Pink Walk celebrates survivors and Fighters it also shouldn't forget to highlight those who bravely fought and just couldn't fight anymore. Those who were brave until the end and went to heaven surrounded by love from those still here that had to go on without them. Because that's what we had to expeirence. 

But I hope that no one else does and that is why I continue to support Susan G. Komen and their efforts for research and support. Because Grandma Becky wouldn't want us just sitting in our sadness, she would want us to fight to help others so that they don't have to face the things she did.
