Hey y'all!  Welcome to team Lady Badass,

As you all know, in 2003, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer.  She fought the hard fight, and with the support of doctors and loved ones, she beat it and came out stronger than before.  Mom had a double mastectomy and was cancer-free for 17 years.

In November of 2020, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, which is a more aggressive form of Breast Cancer.  Who knew this could happen after a double mastectomy?  Mom had 4 lumps and received 16 months of chemotherapy (lost all her hair and is now a silver fox because of it), surgery to remove the lumps, reconstructive surgery, followed by months of radiation treatment.

Through prayer, family, and many, many doctor's visits, my mother is now as "Cancer Free" as you can be with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.  Though she is still on chemo pills, which she takes every day, but she kicked this thing's ass once again.
