Dear Family and Friends,
It's getting close to time for the More than Pink Walk (Formerly Race for the Cure). This year it is on October 18th to be exact. Thank you for your continued support of this important cause.
This is my 25th year walking, and as always I am participating in honor of my sorority sister and friend Patti Balwanz who lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 29. I also am walking in memory of others who are no longer with us; Grandma Reisner, Dolly Loyd, Heather Riley, and Connie Priest.
In addition, I walk in honor of the many women who continue to win their battle; my friends and family- Mary Faye, Brenda (who is currently fighting another form of cancer), Buzz, Paige, Alicia and Jaime. My mom joined this list this year, but luckily she found it very early and is currently doing radiation. Please make sure you are doing your yearly mammograms, because she did her procedures weren’t easy, but not nearly as difficult as they could have been if she didn’t find it so soon.

I named my team "With a Little Help From my Friends" because we all need a little help- whether you can join us on race day, or donate to the cause or just send a word of support, it all helps and I thank you for it! Last year because of your generous donations I raised more than $3,000!  Can I count on you to help me accomplish that again this year? I have a lofty goal of $5000 since it is my 25th year.
