Join DFO GWLN for “Walk Where You Are” – October 25–27!
Lace up your sneakers and walk with purpose as we come together for “Walk Where You Are,” a virtual event and fundraiser in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s mission to support those facing breast cancer. GWLN proudly champions women not only in their careers but in every aspect of life—and this is a powerful way to show that support.
Whether you're walking through your neighborhood, around a local park, or even just taking laps at the office, every step counts. Let’s raise awareness, honor the fighters and survivors, and walk in unity toward a cure.
To remind us why this cause matters so deeply, we’re honored to share a personal story from one of our own.
“My Breast Cancer Journey began on December 8, 2021.
It was a path filled with tears, laughter, sadness, frustration, and anger. There were many days I wanted to give up—but I kept going. I had to. For my family, especially my husband, and for myself.
Today, I’m proud to say I’ve been cancer-free for three years.
I’m not the same Jackie I used to be—but this Jackie is stronger, braver, and more resilient than she ever imagined. Cancer thought it could win, but it picked the wrong person to mess with.
Every day is a gift, and I’m embracing life with gratitude, purpose, and hope for all that’s still to come.”

Together, we can make a difference—for the fighters, the survivors, and the countless lives touched by breast cancer. Let’s show up, step out, and stand strong as one DFO community.
