Alina's Story
This year brought unexpected challenges. I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and after undergoing a double mastectomy, I am incredibly grateful to share that I am now cancer-free. While I still have a long road ahead with ongoing treatment, I am feeling strong, hopeful, and deeply supported.
This journey has reminded me of the one my beautiful mother, Sonia, walked before me. She fought breast cancer with courage and grace, but ultimately, we lost her far too soon. I carry her memory with me every day, and now, I walk in her honor.
To celebrate survivorship, to remember those we have lost, and to help others facing similar battles, I have joined the Susan G. Komen community and registered for the MORE THAN PINK Walk. I am walking not just for myself, but for every person and every family touched by breast cancer, and I would love for you to be part of it.
Your support means the world to me. Every donation, big or small, helps fund breakthrough research and provides real-time support to patients: whether it?s emotional care through Komen?s helpline, financial assistance, or help navigating treatment options.
We all know someone affected by breast cancer. Together, we can make a difference. Let us show the power of community, compassion, and commitment.
Thank you for standing with me. Your love and encouragement have carried me through, and now, I walk with purpose, in memory of my mother and in celebration of life.
With love and gratitude,
Alina
