My Story
This year, I joined the Komen community and registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. This is my FIRST.walk; I?ve been cancer free for just under five years and I want to share my story and inspire others.
In 2016 I went in for a mammogram and a mass was discovered. I remember being terrified when they did a biopsy because I?d already battled cancer in other areas and thought my luck had run out. Thankfully, a lumpectomy removed the problem before it could spread. I was very lucky but I don?t take for granted that many others don?t get that luck. I?ve been cancer-free for about five years now and I?m walking because I can. Please consider joining my team.
