My Story
Hi Marshall Community:
Breast cancer has touched the lives of so many women in my family. It’s a thread that runs through generations—a painful, powerful reminder of how important this fight truly is.
I walk because I am one of those stories, too. I am a cancer survivor.
And that’s why this cause is deeply personal to me.
Each step I take during the MORE THAN PINK Walk is a tribute to the strength of the women in my family who have faced breast cancer and other cancers, to the survivors still standing tall, to the loved ones we’ve lost, and to the breakthroughs yet to come.
I walk in honor, in memory, and with hope.
Hope for a world where no one has to hear the words, “You have cancer.”
I am dedicated to Susan G. Komen’s mission of ending breast cancer forever and I can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of our school’s fundraising efforts. Your contribution—no matter the size—can help fund critical research, support patients and survivors, and bring us all one step closer to a cure.
This is why I walk. Why do you walk?
