My Story
Hello friends! I am writing to update you on my journey. Things are very different for me this time around. Last October I was dealing with just having finished an especially hard regiment of what is called TCHP chemo and having just had my first of two surgeries. Since last year's walk I have had a surgery on my liver, a 25 day course of daily radiation, and ongoing Enhertu infusions. I am very happy to share that I started back at Campbell Hall after an 11-month medical leave in January and I am now teaching in the Middle School. I am so grateful to Campbell Hall for accommodating my limitations and allowing me to work part time while I continue to receive treatment every 3 weeks. Being back at school and in the classroom specifically is as much a part of my recovery as the medications I continue to receive. I am also very grateful to my team of doctors and my amazingly supportive community. By the time the walk rolls around I will be 21 months post diagnosis and I am completely humbled by all the love and care I have been shown during this journey.
