My Story
2 months ago I found out I had breast cancer. CANCER. (blows my mind) but here we are. I decided since I was over 40 I should get my 1st mammogram.. and then they said we need to do a better scan ultrasound.. then they said we don?t have a baseline so let?s do a biopsy to double check.. and then a MRI.. and another biopsy? My child is 2yrs old and I have doctors and nurses asking me if I have a power of attorney and a living will everytime I check-in for an appointment.
After a 4 hour, double surgeon surgery, struggle to sleep sitting up, alternating Percocet and antibiotics, not able to shower alone or pick up anything over 10lbs? Today I?m 2 weeks Post-Op and seeing oncology doctors and surgeons for follow-ups.
Without family and close friends surrounding me with help and love idk how I would have survived this far during this test in my life. It?s still hard to wrap my mind around, and it?s hard to keep my mind from spiraling about the possibility of recurrence at any time? but for now I?m standing in my current truth. I?m cancer FREE

This year, we are participating in the Komen More than Pink Breast Cancer Walk to commemorate my breast cancer journey. We are hoping you join our team, or make a donation to the cause!
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it?s emotional support via Komen?s helpline, financial support through Komen?s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let?s show breast cancer patients there?s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today?
