A Shared Fight: My Story
As one of the top fundraising teams of the 2024 Georgia More Than Pink Walk, Hooters' Hope is back to help fight for the lives of those forever changed by breast cancer. Hooter’s Hope’s 2024 team raised over $24,000, and this year, armed with more team members and the same dedicated spirit, we are aiming to raise even more money.
I joined Hooter’s Hope because of my best friend, Alecia (Lisa) Denise Robinson, whom I met when we were 6 years old. Living next door to each other, we became sisters, and over the course of our friendship, we have experienced life’s ups and downs – together. Her breast cancer diagnosis in April 2022 shook me to my core. She beat cancer, and the Susan G. Komen organization was a central part of her cancer battle and recovery. I know what a positive impact the Susan G. Komen organization has made in Lisa’s life, and in true “Lisa-fashion,” she has turned her test into a testimony, and she now regularly volunteers with Susan G. Komen. I am so proud of Lisa and honored to join her and the entire Hooter’s Hope fundraising team.
Breast cancer has touched so many in my community, and I walk in honor of every one of them. So, I invite you, my friends and family, to join my Hooters' Hope teammates and me in this fight. Your donation and support truly makes a difference in the lives of those impacted!
