My Story
Eight years ago, my life changed with three simple words: You have cancer. At that moment, fear and uncertainty tried to take over. But as the days unfolded, I discovered a strength within me I never knew I had—and I found it reflected in the faces of the people who stood beside me.
The journey wasn’t easy. There were days filled with exhaustion, pain, and moments where I questioned how much more I could take. But there were also days of laughter in the hospital room, warm meals delivered to my door, hands clasped in prayer, and late-night phone calls just to remind me I wasn’t alone. My family and friends became my army, my safe place, and my constant reminder that love can be more powerful than fear.
Today, I am proud to say I am an eight-year breast cancer survivor. Those words carry the weight of every tear I cried, every smile I fought to keep, and every hug that gave me the courage to keep going. Every sunrise I witness now feels like a personal love letter from God reminding me: You are still here. You still have purpose.
I have learned that survival is not just about living—it’s about truly being alive. It’s about celebrating birthdays, random Tuesdays, and the simple joy of breathing fresh air. It’s about cherishing the people who walked with me through the storm and still cheer me on today.
To my family and friends—you were my light in the darkest hours, my reason to fight, and my source of unshakable faith. I carry your love in my heart every day.
Eight years later, I don’t take a single day for granted. Every moment is a gift, every laugh is a victory, and every breath is a reason to say thank you.
Here’s to life, love, and the beautiful journey of survival. And here’s to celebrating not just the years we’ve lived, but the life in those years.
