On Friday, September 13th, 2024, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. The date alone felt ironic — I’ve always been superstitious — but nothing could have prepared me for the journey ahead.
Since that day, I’ve undergone chemotherapy, radiation, two surgeries, and will continue chemo until January 2026. These have been the most challenging times of my life. Cancer doesn’t just affect your body — it shifts your entire perspective. I've learned the power of forgiveness, the strength in accepting help, and the importance of early detection.
Through it all, I’ve never been alone. My Facebook community, my family, and my friends pulled me through the darkest days. Their support became my light. I’m especially grateful for the help I received from the Susan G. Komen Foundation during these troubling times — their kindness and resources made a real difference.
Now, I want to give back. Please help me pay it forward by donating or walking to raise funds for those still in this fight. We are truly Better Together, and together, we can make a difference.
