In 2018 I ran the Boston Marathon to raise money for Dana Farber after losing my dear friend, Randi, to breast cancer. Never did I imagine that I would be even more closely affected by this disease.

This past July I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. Rest assured, I am not going down without a fight. This year has been knockdown after knockdown for me. Still, I get up, put one foot in front of the other and am determined to beat this thing.

I hope you will fight with me - either through donations, or walking with me, or both. On October 18, my team: "Pink is My New Red", will lace up and walk with thousands in support of the Susan G Komen Foundation to raise money to help find a cure, better treatments, and with the goal to create a world where breast cancer no longer exists.

No one should have to fight alone.
