I am Jo and I am new on my personal breast cancer journey. Breast cancer is not new to me however. I have memories as a young girl of seeing my grandmother’s large fresh mastectomy scar.  Memories of helping her do her wall climb exercises. We lost her to breast cancer. Over the years more family members were diagnosed with breast cancer, my other grandmother, aunt, cousin, great aunts and cousins, many friends. 

Because of them I have done the screenings and I will preach: early detection saves lives. Now I fight my fight. 

But I will also walk. Walk for money for research, for education, for access to the all important mammograms.
