My Story
On Friday, September 13, 2024, my world changed forever.
That was the day I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. The date — Friday the 13th — felt cruelly ironic. I’ve always been a little superstitious, but nothing could have prepared me for the storm that followed.
Since then, I’ve faced chemotherapy, radiation, and two surgeries. And I’m still fighting — with more chemo ahead through January 2026. It has been the hardest, most humbling chapter of my life.
Cancer doesn’t just attack your body — it rearranges your soul. It forces you to look inward, to find strength where you thought there was none. I’ve learned how to forgive, how to accept the things I can’t change, how to let others in, and how to slow down and simply breathe. I’ve learned that early detection truly matters — and that every moment is a gift.
But I’ve never walked this path alone.
My family, my friends, and my Facebook community have wrapped me in love. You pulled me through when I didn’t think I could keep going. You were my light when everything felt dark. I’m especially thankful for the Susan G. Komen Foundation — their support and compassion made a difference when I needed it most.
Now it’s my turn to give back.
I’m asking you to stand with me — to walk, to donate, to show up for someone who might be feeling alone in their fight. Together, we can raise hope. Together, we can save lives. Together, we are Better Together — and I believe with all my heart that love in action can change the world.
Thank you for being part of my journey. Let’s keep walking — for all of us.
