Breast cancer impacts us all one way or another. Whether you have personally been affected or someone you know has been affected. For me, breast cancer has been apart of my life since the day I was born. Growing up both my grandma's were impacted by this disease and while one of them is a survivor, my other grandma lost her 22 year long battle to the disease. However, I didn't grasp what breast cancer was and its effect until my mother was diagnosed in 2013. 

When my mom was diagnosed, mine and my families whole world changed, she was only 40 years old and was prepared to fight and take as many measures as possible to beat cancer. Throughout her diagnosis, she continued to participate in walks, community events, and being a supporter of others with breast cancer. In 2016, she lost her battle to breast cancer. 

After her passing I decided that my future was going to be was going to be dedicated towards ending breast cancer. Since her passing I have led multiple breast cancer fundraisers, teams for various organizations, completed two degrees where I always focus my work on young breast cancer patients/survivors, and begun working for Susan G. Komen. 

I Komen for my mom, my grandma's, myself and my sister who are considered high risk, and any other women or men who need our support, dedication, and commitment to ending this disease.
