My Story
Why I Walk
Five years ago, breast cancer became my reality, but it never defined me. At the height of COVID, with my faith in God and support of my family and friends, I walked a long road of uncertainty, sickness, tests, chemo, baldness, a double mastectomy, radiation, and a couple subsequent operations to 'get things right'. I had no prior family history of breast cancer. It just happened. I was 1 in 8.
