My Story
This walk is personal.
In July 2017, I heard the words that changed my life: “You have breast cancer.” I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and began a journey I never expected to take. I underwent a lumpectomy and radiation, and with the grace of God, I came out on the other side.
Today, I stand here as an 8-year breast cancer survivor—grateful, resilient, and determined.
But I don’t walk just for me.
I walk for my cousins, my sister-in-law, and a dear friend, loved ones who were also touched by this disease, some of whom are no longer with us. I carry their memory with every step I take.
This October, I’ll be walking in Miami to mark 8 years of survivorship, and I would love for my family and friends to join me. If you can’t be there in person, your support from afar or a donation in honor of those impacted by breast cancer would mean the world to me.
Together, we walk in strength, remembrance, and hope.
