This year, I'm walking with purpose. In June 2025, I finally went in for a mammogram - one I was overdue for by 2.5 years. I felt fine! I had no symptoms. But that simple screening caught something I never would have known was there. A cancer diagnosis on July 9, 2025. That one appointment led to a whirlwind of decisions, appointments, and ultimately, a bilateral mastectomy in 8/18  

I'm sharing this not for sympathy, but as a reminder of the power of early detection - if you've put off your own screening - please don't wait.  I'm always happy to talk, share more of my story if you've  been diagnosed or go with you to your mammogram if you need a buddy!
