This is Forty?
I'm Kristin McGregor, a wife, mom of 3 and pediatrician in Gretna, Nebraska.
In 2025, I've traveled to Europe, turned 40 and then suddenly been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer on 5/21/25.
Other things that have been added to my 40 year old Bingo card include:
- lots of doctor's appointments
- double mastectomy
- get news there's a chance this could come back
- get a port placed
- prepare for reconstruction surgery
- start chemotherapy
- lose my hair
- get a wig
Next on the Bingo card:
- take a team to the Susan G Komen walk
- kick cancer out of me forever (in progress)
- final reconstruction surgery
Is this really 40? Man, it's different.
I mentioned that I'm registered for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients like me that there’s a whole community standing by their side.
