Last year, I had the privilege of joining my very first Susan G. Komen Walk in Detroit, MI with my son, mother-in-law, and sister?a memory I will cherish forever. The love, encouragement, and support I received from family, friends, and donors last year meant so much to me, and I hope to feel that same support again this year as I take on another walk.
This time, I?m honored to participate in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in Charlotte, NC, alongside my ?partner in crime? husband and our son.
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with DCIS in April 2022. After three surgeries to remove the ?big bad? and help me feel a little more like myself again, I am so grateful to be celebrating three years cancer-free this past July! I walk not only for myself, but also for my mother, who is now cancer-free, my grandmother, who we lost to this disease, and for countless others who are bravely fighting today.
Your support brings us closer to a world without breast cancer. Every dollar helps fund breakthrough research, provides care and resources for those currently facing a diagnosis, and gives hope to families like mine.
This walk is deeply personal to me, and every bit of support?emotional, financial, or simply cheering me on?means the world. So thank you!!!
