On February 14, 2025, my world changed when I heard the words no one ever wants to hear: "You have breast cancer."
Just months earlier, in July 2024, my mammogram was clear. Then in January, while preparing to shower, I found a lump. After a visit with my primary care doctor, I was scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound and that's when my journey began.
The weeks that followed were a whirlwind of doctor's appointments, scans, bloodwork and endless information, so much to take in, and so hard to process. While I may be finished with chemotherapy, my fight is far from over.
I could not have made it this far without my faith, the love and support and grace of my family and friends. My life has been consumed with battling the cancer inside of me, while trying to keep life as "normal" as possible by continuing to work fulltime, having a senior in High School, being a wife, mom, daughter and Gigi.
I truly believe there can be a cure. I invite you to join me in this fight: walk with me and/or consider making a donation to my team
