Honoring Elissa Faye
On this walk, every step we take is for our Mema.
Our beautiful, brave, and fiercely loving Mema lived with metastatic breast cancer for 27 years. Twenty-seven years of fighting with grace, smiling through pain, and putting her family first no matter what. She was more than a survivor, she was a light, a force, a foundation.
We lost her on December 21, 2021, but not a day goes by that we dont feel her presence in our hearts. We still hear her laugh, still feel her prayers, still carry her wisdom. She taught us what real strength looks like, not loud or boastful, but quiet, steady, and full of love.
Today, her grandchildren walk for her.
We walk because she never stopped walking forward, even on the hardest days. We walk because her story matters. We walk for others still fighting, and for the families walking beside them.
This walk is our love letter to Mema.
A promise that she will never be forgotten. A way to turn our grief into purpose and our love into action.
Mema, this is for you. We miss you. We love you. We carry you with us, always.
