My story-
Hi friends and family,
My journey began with a regularly scheduled mammogram on February 25th. I go every year on that date as a birthday gift to myself. Little did I know I was starting a fight with the big C word. I was extremely blessed with my diagnosis and found my cancer in the very beginning stages. But no matter the stage it comes with a lot of emotions and a ton of anxiety. I had my lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed in May and rang the bell on June 23rd ending my radiation therapy. It continues to be a struggle with emotions and medication side effects but I am doing better every single day. To add to my desire to raise awareness and funds my Mom is a Survivor as well. Our diagnosis/type of cancer is not the same and that is part of the battle. We will continue to heal and fight and raise awareness every step of our journey. There are not many people I know that this disease hasn’t affected.
My team is a group of ladies out of my tennis club that have all been diagnosed and fought this battle. We have an amazing community of survivors and together we are trying to make a difference.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care, Komen will be there for them.
Ending breast cancer needs all of us, and your generosity can make a real difference. Together, let’s show breast cancer patients there’s a whole community standing by their side.
Will you please join me in this fight by making your donation today?
Thank you for your support!
