My Story
In February of 2020, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Nothing can truly prepare you for hearing those words, and in that moment, my world shifted. What had once felt certain—daily routines, plans for the future, even the way I looked at myself—suddenly felt fragile and uncertain.
The days that followed were filled with appointments, tests, and a blur of information that I struggled to process. I had to learn a new language—one of biopsies, treatment plans, and medical terminology—while also trying to hold on to my sense of normalcy.
But alongside the fear, I also discovered strength I didn’t know I had. I leaned on my faith, my family, and my friends in ways I never had before. I learned to take things one step at a time, to celebrate small victories, and to find hope in unexpected places.
I am proud to say that this October 2025 marks five years since my diagnosis. Reaching this milestone feels nothing short of a miracle. The medicine that has been a constant part of my daily life is now complete, and for the first time in five years, I am able to receive a regular mammogram.
To anyone facing their own battle, know this: you are stronger than you think. Take it one step at a time, lean on the people who love you, and never stop holding on to hope.
Today, I stand not only as a survivor but as a testament that victory is possible. This chapter of my life will forever remind me that healing is not just about medicine—it’s about faith, courage, and the unshakable will to keep moving forward.
As I celebrate this milestone, my hope is to turn my story into action. I invite you to join me in the fight to end breast cancer—whether by walking alongside me, supporting the cause with a donation, or simply spreading awareness. Together, we can make a difference so that more women and families can celebrate milestones like this one.
