Almost one year ago, my world was turned upside down. My youngest was only 17 months old when I heard the words no one ever expects to hear: ?You have breast cancer.?
What followed was a whirlwind of doctors, scans, and drastic surgeries. It was terrifying, painful, and exhausting?but it was also a reminder of how strong the human spirit can be.
Today, I can honestly say I?m healthier and stronger than I?ve ever been. This journey hasn?t just changed my body?it?s changed the way I live, love, and take care of myself.
If there?s one thing I?ve learned, it?s this: take your body seriously. Even if you?re young, even if you ?feel fine.? Cancer doesn?t discriminate. Check yourself. Remind your friends to check themselves. Be your own advocate.
I?m grateful every day for the chance to keep moving forward?with my family, my health, and my heart. One year stronger.
Let's make it so no one has to hear those four words again.
